1965 Falcon

The team at Predator Performance is in the final stages of a resto-mod project on a 1965 Falcon.  The story is all to familiar, guy has car in high school, grows up and priorities change and has to sell car, gets a little older with a little more cash in his pocket and wants the car back.  Ken Lockert is one of those guys.  After looking for his old hot rod for two years he located it in New York and proceeded to spend the next two years talking the owner into selling it.  Once an agreement was made, which included visiting rights for the previous owner, Ken was reunited with his old ride.

While this car is not a true frame off restoration it is as close as you can get.  The entire car was stripped and repainted inside and out.  The paint and body guys hand polished all the exterior trim pieces and reinstalled them.  It retains all the old front suspension, however it was all powder coated and installed with polyurethane bushings.  The rear suspension was retained with the addition of QA1 double adjustable shocks and a custom sway bar and Cal Trac bars.  The engine compartment was smoothed out and all wires and hoses were hidden.  Ken had a friend build him a nice little small block Ford for us to install complete with duel 4 barrel carbs.  Working with Ken to bring back a little bit of his youth has been a real pleasure for everyone here at Predator.  We can’t wait to watch him put the line lock we installed to use this summer at the Flash Light Drags!
